This medication is suitable for patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling their blood pressure even with the combination of telmisartan and amlodipine, as well as patients with hyperlipidemia-related conditions. The telmisartan/amlodipine combination helps stabilize blood pressure and effectively lowers blood cholesterol levels in cases such as primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed hyperlipidemia. Additionally, it is used as an adjunct to the diet in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia or dysbetalipoproteinemia, which can delay the progression of atherosclerosis. This medication reduces the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with hypercholesterolemia, particularly helping to reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and complications following vascular interventions. Therefore, this medication is effectively used for the management of hypertension and hyperlipidemia and for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
