This medication is used to improve symptoms related to decline in mental functions such as decreased concentration, memory loss, and dizziness.

How to take

Adult dose

As ginkgo biloba dry extract, take 240 mg once daily as a single dose. It can be taken regardless of meals.

Precautions

This medication is made from ginkgo leaf dry extract, and it should not be taken by individuals with allergies to certain components. Safety for use in children and adolescents has not been fully established, so it should not be used by those under 18 years of age. Pregnant women are also advised not to take this medication. Additionally, this product contains lactose, and it should not be used by individuals with lactose intolerance or related genetic conditions. During treatment with this medication, it should not be taken concurrently with blood thinners or certain heart and blood pressure medications. This medication may affect enzymes involved in drug metabolism in the liver, which can alter the effect or duration of action of other medications. If currently taking medications like calcium channel blockers or theophylline, dosage adjustment under the guidance of a physician may be necessary. Individuals at risk of bleeding or taking medications that increase bleeding should consult an expert before using this medication. Nursing women should also exercise caution due to uncertainty regarding transfer to breast milk. Patients with epilepsy may experience an increase in seizure frequency when taking this medication. It is advisable to stop taking this medication at least 36 hours prior to surgery, and the duration of treatment should be maintained for at least 8 weeks based on symptoms. If symptoms do not improve or worsen after more than 3 months of use, consult a physician. During treatment, adverse reactions such as nausea, headache, insomnia, anxiety, skin rash, swelling, itching, and dizziness may occur, and immediate consultation with an expert is advised if these symptoms arise.
