How to take

Adult dose

As Ginkgo Biloba dry extract, take 240 mg once daily as a single dose. Can be taken regardless of meals.

Precautions

This medicine contains Ginkgo Biloba dry extract, and certain individuals should not take it. Individuals allergic to Ginkgo Biloba dry extract or any other components of this medication should avoid taking it. Additionally, safety studies are insufficient for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age, so it should not be used in this population. It is also advisable for pregnant women to avoid this medication. This product contains lactose; individuals with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Do not use this medication concurrently with anticoagulants or certain non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs during treatment. This medication can affect various drug-metabolizing enzymes in the liver, which may alter the effects or duration of other medications. Particularly, using it with calcium channel blockers may increase the concentrations of those drugs in the body, and in combination with theophylline, it may affect drug excretion, leading to reduced effectiveness, so caution is needed. Individuals with bleeding disorders or who are taking drugs with a high risk of bleeding should consult a professional before taking this medication. Women who are breastfeeding should consult a professional as it is not known whether this medication is transmitted through breast milk. Also, caution is needed for patients with epilepsy as this medication may provoke seizures. Since this medication may increase the risk of bleeding, if surgery is planned, it should be discontinued at least 36 hours prior to the procedure. The treatment duration should be at least 8 weeks depending on symptoms, and if symptoms do not improve or worsen after 3 months, consult a physician. While taking this medication, unusual reactions such as nausea, headache, insomnia, anxiety, confusion, skin rash, itching, etc. may occur, and severe allergic reactions may develop. Bleeding cases have been reported with long-term use, so caution is advised. This medication is not a treatment for hypertension, so patients with high blood pressure should not take it. When storing, keep it out of reach of children, and store it tightly closed in its original container. Transferring it to another container may lead to misuse or deterioration in quality.
