This medication is used to improve symptoms of cognitive decline such as decreased concentration, memory impairment, and dizziness.

How to take

Adult dose

As Ginkgo Leaf Dry Extract, take 240mg once daily, on one tablet. Can be taken regardless of meals.

Precautions

This medication is made from an extract of ginkgo leaves, and individuals who are allergic to certain components should not take it. There has not been sufficient research on the safety for children or adolescents, so it is recommended not to take it if under 18. Pregnant women should also not take this medication. Additionally, individuals who cannot break down lactose or have certain genetic metabolic disorders should not take this medication. Caution should be exercised when taking blood-thinning medications or anticoagulants concurrently, as it may enhance the effects of this medication. This medication may also affect the enzymes involved in drug metabolism in the liver, potentially altering the effects or duration of other medications. When taken with calcium channel blockers or certain asthma medications, be cautious of changes in drug concentration that may increase the risk of side effects and consider adjusting the dosage if necessary. Those at risk of bleeding or taking medications that may cause bleeding should consult a physician before taking the medication. Breastfeeding women should consult a specialist before taking this medication as it is uncertain whether it passes into breast milk. Patients with epilepsy should be cautious as this medication may worsen seizure activity. Patients scheduled for surgery should stop taking this medication at least 36 hours prior to the procedure to reduce the risk of bleeding. The duration of use should be at least 8 weeks depending on symptoms, and if symptoms do not improve or worsen after 3 months, consult a physician. If symptoms such as nausea, headache, insomnia, anxiety, or skin rash occur, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a specialist.
