Precautions
This medication can cause liver damage if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. Since it contains acetaminophen, there is a rare risk of severe skin reactions; if a rash or allergic symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately. When taking this medication, do not exceed the maximum daily dose of acetaminophen, which is 4,000mg, and do not take with other acetaminophen-containing medications. Due to the presence of pseudoephedrine, serious skin reactions may occur; if symptoms such as fever, rash, or blisters develop, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. Individuals with a history of allergies to this medication or those who have experienced asthma should not take it, as well as infants under three months old, breastfeeding women, people taking certain antidepressants, and patients with severe kidney disease. It is advisable not to take this medication along with cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, and antihistamines. Children infected with chickenpox or influenza, those with specific skin diseases or allergic tendencies, liver or kidney diseases, heart diseases, thyroid disorders, diabetes, hypertension, or gastrointestinal issues should consult a healthcare professional before use. If symptoms like rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, or insomnia occur after use, discontinue and consult a doctor; in cases of severe allergic reactions, liver dysfunction, or symptoms of pneumonia, seek medical attention immediately. It is recommended not to administer this medication to children under 2 years of age; if necessary, a doctor's evaluation should be obtained. Follow the prescribed dosage and duration, avoid prolonged use, and refrain from alcohol during treatment. Additionally, drowsiness may occur upon administration; thus, avoid driving or operating machinery. When taken with the antibiotic flucloxacillin, the risk of rare but severe metabolic acidosis may arise, so caution is necessary. Store this medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place, tightly sealed. To maintain quality, it is advisable not to transfer it to other containers.
