This medication is primarily used for respiratory conditions such as cough, phlegm, and asthma.

Precautions

This medicine contains the artificial sweetener aspartame. Since aspartame is broken down into phenylalanine in the body, patients with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria should not take this medication. The amount of aspartame included in this medication is regulated to be below the WHO recommendation of 40 mg/kg/day, allowing a maximum daily intake of 2.4 g for a 60 kg adult. Infants under 3 months of age, individuals allergic to this medicine or its components, and those taking MAO inhibitors such as certain antidepressants or antipsychotics, or who have stopped taking them within the last 2 weeks should not take this medication. It is advisable not to take other cough medicines, cold medicines, antihistamines, or sedatives while using this medicine. Individuals prone to allergies or those who have previously experienced allergic symptoms such as rashes or itching from drugs, patients with liver, kidney, heart, thyroid diseases, or with diabetes, hypertension, pregnant or breastfeeding women, elderly individuals, and those with weak health should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. It is particularly necessary for smokers, patients with asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and those with a cough lasting more than a week or recurrent cough to discuss with a doctor. If rash, itching, nausea, dizziness, insomnia, or other symptoms occur during use, or if symptoms do not improve after 5-6 doses, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Children under 2 years of age should not take this medication except in special cases, and must follow the doctor's instructions carefully when taking it. It is important to adhere to the prescribed usage and dosage, supervise administration when giving it to children, and avoid taking it with alcohol for safety.
