How to take

Adult dose

For ages 12 and above: Take 2 tablets twice daily

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, or those with renal function issues. Additionally, individuals with allergies to the ingredients in this medication, infants under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, and those with severe renal failure should avoid using this drug. It is recommended not to take medications such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids while using this drug. Patients under medical treatment, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, premature or small infants, and individuals with heart or circulatory issues, kidney disorders, low protein levels, those taking cardiac glycosides, and those with a history of kidney stones must consult a specialist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, skin rash, gastrointestinal symptoms, or hypernatremia occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Additionally, care should be taken as high doses of vitamin B12 can lead to hematological adverse reactions. Overdose may present with gastrointestinal symptoms, increased blood sodium levels, heart failure, or edema, and long-term use may increase the risk of hypercalcemia or stones. If symptoms do not improve after a month of use, it is advisable to consult a specialist. When taken with anti-aldosterone drugs or triamterene, blood potassium levels may rise, requiring caution. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and directions, and teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, should be avoided before and after taking this drug. Store in a place out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry location. To maintain quality, do not transfer to another container and prevent misuse.
