This medication is used to improve symptoms related to the decline of mental function, such as decreased concentration, memory impairment, and dizziness.
As ginkgo leaf dry extract, take 240mg once daily, 1 tablet per dose. Can be taken regardless of meals.
This medicine contains ginkgo leaf dry extract as the main component, and certain individuals should not take it. Individuals allergic to ginkgo leaf dry extract or other ingredients in this medication should not take it. Moreover, due to insufficient safety studies in children and adolescents, this medication should not be used by individuals under 18 years of age. Pregnant women are also advised not to take this medication. As this medication contains lactose, individuals with genetic disorders that affect lactose digestion should avoid it. While taking this medication, it should not be used in conjunction with certain other medications. In particular, taking it with blood-thinning medications may enhance its effects, leading to dangerous outcomes. Additionally, this medication may influence the metabolism of other drugs in the liver, requiring caution when administered with calcium channel blockers or certain respiratory medications. In such cases, dose adjustments and monitoring by a healthcare professional are necessary. Those who have bleeding issues or are on anticoagulant medications should consult a physician or pharmacist before using this medication. Nursing women should also consult with professionals, as it is uncertain whether this medication passes into breast milk. There is a need for caution as patients with epilepsy may experience more frequent seizures while taking this medication. The risk of bleeding may increase while taking this medication, so those scheduled for surgery should discontinue use at least 36 hours prior. The duration of use varies depending on symptoms but should be a minimum of 8 weeks, and if symptoms do not improve or worsen after 3 months, consultation with a physician is necessary. If nausea, headache, insomnia, anxiety, skin rash, or itching occurs during use, immediate consultation with a physician is required. Caution is necessary as cases of bleeding have been reported with long-term use. This medication is not a treatment for hypertension, thus individuals with high blood pressure should not use this medicine unless special treatment is needed. This medication must be kept out of reach of children and stored in its original container to maintain quality and prevent misuse.
