This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia, patients with sarcoidosis, which is an unknown cause systemic inflammatory disease, or patients with kidney diseases. Additionally, individuals with allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients, infants under 12 months old, patients with kidney stones, and patients with severe renal failure should also avoid using this medication. During treatment, it is advisable not to take this medication with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids. Women receiving medical treatment, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. Special attention is necessary as Vitamin D can be transmitted to newborns through breast milk, potentially causing hypercalcemia. Patients with heart or circulatory issues, kidney disorders, hypoproteinemia, those taking cardiotonic glycosides, and individuals with a history of kidney stones should also consult a professional prior to use. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, flushing of the face, irregular heartbeat, or skin rashes occur during use, it is important to discontinue use immediately and consult with a doctor or pharmacist. Caution is needed if taking high doses of Vitamin B12 as it may cause hematological abnormalities. Overdose may lead to gastrointestinal disorders, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema, and long-term use could result in hypercalcemia and stone formation. Additionally, concurrent use with certain diuretics may increase the risk of elevated potassium levels in the blood, so caution is advised. Adhere to recommended dosages, and avoid tannin-containing teas such as green tea or black tea during or immediately before and after taking this medication. Keep the medication out of reach of children and store in a tightly sealed container away from direct sunlight in a cool and dry place. Finally, to prevent misuse of the medication and maintain quality, it is important not to transfer the medication to another container.
