How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered orally once a day at the same time each day. If needed, it may be given twice a day. Dose escalation: The maximum daily dose is 20 mg, and the dose should be increased by 5 mg weekly over the first 3 weeks. First week: Administer 5 mg once daily for 7 days. Second week: Administer 10 mg once daily for 7 days. Third week: Administer 15 mg once daily for 7 days. From the fourth week: Administer 20 mg once daily.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with a known allergy to its ingredients. It should also not be administered to patients with severe liver function impairment or significantly reduced kidney function. Caution should be exercised when used in patients with epilepsy or a history of seizures, or in those prone to seizures. The risk of side effects may increase when used with other specific medications, especially those acting on NMDA receptors; therefore, it is advisable to avoid concurrent use. Interaction with other medications is possible; therefore, patients taking anticoagulants, skeletal muscle relaxants, or antipsychotic drugs should inform their doctor or pharmacist. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should consult their physician before taking this medication, and breastfeeding should be discontinued if the patient is nursing. The safety and efficacy of this medication in individuals under 18 years of age have not been established, and its use is not recommended in this population. In cases of overdose, central nervous system symptoms and gastrointestinal symptoms may occur, requiring immediate appropriate treatment in a hospital. This medication may reduce reaction times and attention, so caution is advised during driving or operation of machinery. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer the medication to another container.
