Treatment of chronic polyarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis (arthrosis, ankylosing spondylitis), relief of painful swelling after trauma, improvement of inflammation in infectious diseases.
This medication is effective for chronic polyarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, as well as arthrosis and ankylosing spondylitis. It is also used to relieve painful swelling or inflammation that occurs after trauma or surgery. Additionally, it can be used as an adjunct in the treatment of infections that are accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever. Overall, it helps improve inflammation and pain related to joints and aids recovery.
Adults: Administer 300 mg of dexibuprofen orally 2 to 4 times a day. However, do not exceed 1,200 mg of dexibuprofen per day.
This medication may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks per day, and consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. This medication may increase the likelihood of cardiovascular problems such as myocardial infarction or stroke in individuals with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors. Special caution is required when prescribing to patients with hypertension, heart failure, ischemic heart disease, or peripheral artery disease, and high doses should be avoided. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as bleeding, ulcers, or perforations, especially in elderly patients. If gastrointestinal pain or bleeding symptoms occur during use, immediate medical attention is required, and in severe cases, discontinuation of the medication is necessary. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, or with severe liver, kidney, or heart diseases should not take this medication. Co-administration with aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and may reduce effectiveness, so co-administration is not recommended. Caution should be taken to avoid co-administration with high doses of methotrexate as this may significantly increase toxicity. This medication may be excreted in breast milk, so if breastfeeding, use should be stopped or breastfeeding should be discontinued. Dizziness or fatigue may occur, necessitating caution when driving or operating machinery. Prolonged high-dose use may lead to headaches, so caution is advised. Individuals with blood disorders, tendencies for bleeding, liver or kidney diseases, hypertension, or a history of allergies should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before use. Special care should also be taken in elderly patients and children (aged over 6), ensuring minimum dosage and careful usage. If symptoms such as shock, severe allergic reactions, liver dysfunction, renal failure, skin rashes, breathing difficulties, and severe headaches occur, the medication should be discontinued immediately and medical consultation sought. This medication should be administered at the lowest effective dose and for the shortest necessary duration, with regular blood tests and monitoring of liver and kidney functions possibly required. Use should be avoided after 6 months of pregnancy as it may affect the fetus, and women planning to become pregnant should consult with a doctor before use. In the case of overdose, immediate medical attention is necessary, and it should be stored out of reach of children, avoiding direct sunlight and moisture in a cool place.
