This medication is used to treat vertigo caused by Meniere's disease and central and peripheral causes, including vertebrobasilar insufficiency.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children aged 12 and older should take 1 tablet three times a day after meals. In initial treatment or severe cases, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 5 tablets per day.

Child dose

Children aged 12 and older should take 1 tablet three times a day after meals. In initial treatment or severe cases, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 5 tablets per day.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by certain patients. Individuals who have had an allergic reaction to this medication's ingredients or similar antihistamines should not take it. It is advisable for pregnant or breastfeeding women not to use this medication. Patients with elevated intraocular pressure, such as those with angle-closure glaucoma, patients experiencing seizures, and patients with increased intracranial pressure should avoid this medication. This medication is also not recommended for those who have difficulty urinating due to urethral or prostate problems, excessive alcohol use, or suspected cerebral pressure. This medication should be used cautiously in certain situations. Patients with low blood pressure, benign prostatic hyperplasia, hyperthyroidism, hypertension, heart disease, elevated intraocular pressure, and gastrointestinal obstruction (stomach and duodenum) may experience worsened symptoms when taking this medication. Patients with Parkinson's disease, or those with poor kidney or liver function should also exercise caution when using this medication. Side effects can occur when taking this medication. The most common side effect is drowsiness, while headaches or excessive sweating may occur rarely. Increased heart rate or dry mouth can also develop. Gastrointestinal problems like dyspepsia, constipation, and weight gain may occur rarely. Rarely, there may be a decrease in blood cell counts or allergic reactions on the skin. There have also been reports of difficulty breathing or blurred vision. This medication may cause drowsiness, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery while taking it. To reduce gastrointestinal problems, it is preferable to take the medication after meals. This medication may interact with other drugs. Taking it with alcohol or central nervous system depressants may enhance the sedative effect. Caution is warranted when taken alongside certain antidepressants or anticholinergic drugs, as effects may be amplified. Additionally, combining it with certain antibiotics may lead to side effects or affect allergy test results. It is safest for pregnant or breastfeeding women to avoid taking this medication. While animal studies have not shown teratogenic effects, safety in humans is not established. Since this medication's ingredients may be excreted in breast milk, breastfeeding women should also avoid taking it. Children under 12 years of age are not recommended to take this medication. In case of overdose, symptoms may include dry mouth, flushing of the face, dilated pupils, and increased heart rate. In severe cases, seizures, hallucinations, or coma may occur, thus requiring immediate medical attention. In cases of overdose, stomach pumping may be necessary along with drug treatment if required, and children's temperature should be closely monitored. Seizures can be controlled with specific medications, and in some cases, specialized drugs may be needed. Some ingredients of this medication can be removed by dialysis, but dialysis is not always an effective treatment method.
