This medication can be administered as one tablet per day to patients receiving 10 mg of dapagliflozin and 5 mg of linagliptin, regardless of meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. First, patients who are allergic to the main ingredients or additives of this medication should not take it. Second, patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis should not use this medication. Third, it is not administered to patients undergoing renal dialysis. Fourth, patients with myocardial infarction or those with a history of myocardial infarction should also avoid using this medication. Furthermore, caution should be exercised when administering this medication to patients with reduced fluid volume or impaired renal function. This medication can cause low blood pressure or worsening renal function, so such patients should have their fluid status and renal function carefully evaluated before taking it. During treatment, symptoms of hypotension or changes in renal function should be carefully monitored. When taken with other medications that can induce hypoglycemia, the risk of low blood sugar may increase, so it may be necessary to adjust the doses of insulin or insulin secretagogues. This medication experiences limited usage in patients with heart failure, especially those with severe heart failure, so caution is advised, and it is not recommended for patients with severe heart failure. Acute pancreatitis has been reported; therefore, if severe abdominal pain or other related symptoms occur during treatment, patients should stop taking the medication immediately and consult a physician. The development of bullous skin conditions similar to pemphigus may occur, so if blisters or skin irritation develop, the physician should be informed immediately. This medication can increase the risk of genital infections and urinary tract infections, so early treatment should be sought for any related symptoms. Elderly patients or those with diminished renal function have a higher risk of reduced fluid volume and hypotension, necessitating special caution. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid taking this medication, and if pregnancy is confirmed, it should be discontinued immediately. During treatment, it is important to have regular blood tests and kidney function assessments for blood sugar control. In the case of overdose, there is no specific antidote; treatment should be administered according to the symptoms. While taking this medication, it is essential to periodically monitor health status and immediately consult medical professionals if unusual symptoms arise.
