This medication helps control cholesterol and lipid levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia, particularly heterozygous familial and non-familial types, as well as mixed dyslipidemia. By taking this medication, one can expect to lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apolipoprotein B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels while increasing the good HDL cholesterol. Therefore, when used in conjunction with dietary therapy, it plays a crucial role in balancing blood lipids and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, leading to an improvement in the lipid status of patients.
