This medication may interact with certain other drugs, so patients taking other medications should consult a doctor or pharmacist. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised not to use this medication, and those planning to become pregnant should consult a doctor. Safety for pediatric patients has not been established, and elderly patients should adjust the dose according to kidney function and routinely monitor kidney function. In cases of overdose, serious side effects like lactic acidosis may occur, so it is important to adhere strictly to the recommended dosage and seek medical attention immediately if any abnormal symptoms appear.
