How to take

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown origin), or those with kidney disease. Moreover, individuals who have allergic reactions to this drug or its components, babies under 12 months old, kidney stone patients, and those with severe renal failure should also avoid taking this medication. This drug contains lactose, so individuals with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactose deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. During treatment with this medication, it is advisable not to take drugs such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids together. Children under 1 year of age, patients undergoing medical treatment, children receiving normal diets with significant sunlight exposure, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, premature infants, and infants should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. It is particularly important to be cautious as vitamin D can pass into breast milk and cause hypercalcemia in newborns.
