This medication is used as a supportive therapy to assist recovery in states of weakened mental and physical functions. It is particularly helpful during recovery periods in conditions of amino acid deficiency. Thus, it contributes to overall functional recovery and health improvement.

How to take

Adult dose

For adolescents aged 12 and older and adults, take 5g of L-Aspartic Acid-L-Arginine once daily. It is recommended to take it in the morning, but it can also be taken before bedtime. It can be taken with a small amount of water.

Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which is broken down into phenylalanine in the body. Therefore, patients with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria should not take this medication. The daily intake of aspartame should be limited to below 40mg/kg as recommended by the World Health Organization, with a maximum dose for a 60kg adult being 2.4g per day. Individuals with allergies to this medication or its components, severe kidney or liver dysfunction, and those with a history of myocardial infarction should not take this medication. It is advisable not to take antipsychotics and sedatives together while using this medication as it may excessively increase the effects of sedatives. Individuals with allergies or hypersensitivity to caramel ingredients should take this medication cautiously. Those with difficulty urinating should consult with a doctor before taking this medication, and seek medical attention if symptoms worsen or persist. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant are advised to avoid this medication. Although animal studies have reported the possibility of teratogenic effects, no confirmed risks have been observed in clinical studies; however, it is safer to avoid use. Breastfeeding women are also advised to avoid taking this medication as it may be transmitted through breast milk.
