This medication is used to improve symptoms of gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by gastrointestinal diseases such as gastroesophageal reflux or hiatal hernia, as well as gastritis and ulcers. Additionally, it helps stabilize bowel function by alleviating symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and spastic colon. It is also effective in treating habitual vomiting and non-infectious gastrointestinal pain and disorders, such as constipation and diarrhea, in children. Overall, it helps improve discomfort in the stomach and intestines and aids in the recovery of normal gastrointestinal function.

Rarely, gastrointestinal symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, sounds in the intestines, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, dry mouth, or a numb sensation in the mouth may occur after taking this medication. Additionally, symptoms related to the central nervous system, such as palpitations, fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, or headache, may rarely occur.
