This medication is used only for patients who need to take a combination of amlodipine and ezetimibe/atorvastatin simultaneously. Amlodipine improves myocardial ischemia caused by vasospasm and vasoconstriction in patients with hypertension, stable angina, and variant angina, and helps reduce the risk of hospitalization due to angina in patients with coronary artery disease and the risk associated with vascular interventions. Ezetimibe/atorvastatin combination lowers total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels and increases HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. Additionally, it is used as an adjunctive treatment in cases of homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH) where other therapies are insufficient. Thus, this medication effectively improves cardiovascular health by assisting in both blood pressure and cholesterol management.
