This medication is used to control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with irbesartan alone.

How to take

Adult dose

Take one tablet once daily with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). If blood pressure is not well controlled, doses of 150/5 mg, 150/10 mg, or 300/5 mg may be administered. Elderly patients (75 years or older) and patients on dialysis are advised not to start this medication during initial treatment. Patients with liver impairment should start with 1 daily dose of irbesartan 1.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It should not be taken by individuals with allergies to this medication or its components, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe liver impairment, or patients with a history of certain types of angioedema. In the case of an overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, tachycardia, and shock may occur, and immediate medical assistance should be sought; self-treatment or discontinuation of the medication should not occur.
