This medication is used to relieve constipation. It also helps improve symptoms that may arise from constipation, such as loss of appetite, abdominal bloating, intestinal fermentation abnormalities, and hemorrhoids.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 1-2 tablets once a day at bedtime (on an empty stomach). For the first dose, start with the minimum amount and gradually increase or decrease it while monitoring the shape and condition of the stool.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients with acute abdominal diseases such as acute abdominal disease, intestinal bleeding, appendicitis, or ulcerative colitis. Moreover, patients with bowel obstruction should not take this medication. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with genetic disorders such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. It is recommended not to take this medication within 1 hour after consuming antacids or milk. Patients experiencing severe abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, individuals taking other medications, those with allergic tendencies or family histories, and individuals with rectal bleeding or bowel function issues should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as skin rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately, and a specialist should be consulted. If abdominal discomfort or cramps occur, or if constipation does not improve after taking the medication for more than a week, a specialist should be consulted. The prescribed dosage and method should always be followed, and it is advisable not to give this medication to children under 10 years old unless in special circumstances. This medication should be swallowed whole and not chewed, and prolonged use may lead to tolerance to the drug and worsen constipation, so it should not be used for more than a week. If daily laxatives are needed, it is important to identify the underlying cause of constipation. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and kept in a cool, dry, and closed container.
