Precautions

This medication may lower blood pressure due to its vasodilating effects, so it is essential to consult a doctor if taking nitrate medications or NO donors as there is a risk of excessive blood pressure drop. Individuals with cardiovascular diseases should ensure their heart condition is stable before taking this drug and should not use it if there are risks to the heart. Sexual activity itself can place strain on the heart, so patients with severe cardiovascular conditions should not use this medication. This drug can temporarily lower blood pressure when in a supine position, so patients with cardiovascular diseases need to be particularly cautious. Patients with life-threatening arrhythmias, heart failure, unstable angina, hypotension, hypertension, or pigmentary retinopathy within the last six months should not use this medication. If an erection persists for more than 4 hours or is accompanied by pain, medical attention should be sought immediately, as neglect can lead to penile tissue damage and loss of erectile function. Patients with specific heart conditions, such as left ventricular outflow obstruction, or those with severely compromised blood pressure control may be sensitive to this medication. If taking specific medications such as ritonavir, dose adjustment may be necessary as this medication can significantly increase its blood concentration. This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which means it should not be taken by patients with phenylketonuria. Patients who have allergies to this drug or its components, or who regularly take nitrate medications, should not use this drug. Patients with severe liver disease, uncontrolled hypertension, recent history of stroke or myocardial infarction, those under 18 years of age, or females should also refrain from taking this medication. Individuals with anatomical penile deformities, bleeding disorders, the elderly, or patients with severe kidney or liver failure should use this medication cautiously, starting with a low dose. This medication may commonly cause side effects such as headache, flushing, dyspepsia, dizziness, visual disturbances, and those with severe symptoms should consult a doctor. When driving or operating machinery, caution is advised as visual disturbances or dizziness may occur after taking this medication. Taking this drug with alcohol may lead to more significant blood pressure drops, so caution is advised. This medication is not recommended to be used concurrently with other erectile dysfunction treatments. In case of overdose, symptoms such as headache, flushing, dizziness, dyspepsia, and visual disturbances may occur more severely, so it is essential to visit a medical facility immediately. Keep out of reach of children, and do not transfer to another container. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not use this drug, and it should not be taken by children or adolescents. The elderly may experience higher concentrations of this medication in the body and should start with a reduced dose. Always consult a doctor or pharmacist regarding possible drug interactions before and after taking this medication, especially when used with certain antibiotics, antivirals, antihypertensives, etc. If sudden loss of vision or hearing occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. This medication is for the treatment of erectile dysfunction only and does not have any effect in preventing sexually transmitted diseases.
