How to take

Adult dose

For those aged 12 years and older: 1 tablet per dose, 2 times a day or 2 tablets per dose, 1 time a day

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (excessive calcium in the blood), sarcoidosis (a cause unknown systemic inflammatory disease), or those with kidney disease. Individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components, infants under 12 months, and patients with kidney stones should also avoid this medication. This medication contains lactose; therefore, those with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. When taking this medication, it should not be taken with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids. Women receiving medical treatment, those who are pregnant or could be pregnant, nursing mothers, premature or young infants must consult with a specialist before taking this medication, as the vitamin D component can pass into breast milk and cause hypercalcemia in newborns. Those with gastrointestinal diseases such as peptic ulcers, chronic ulcerative colitis, or localized colitis, heart or circulatory problems, kidney disorders, hypoproteinemia, or a history of kidney stones should also consult a professional before taking this medication. This medication contains the dye Yellow No. 5, and those allergic to it should be cautious when taking it. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dermatitis, odors during sweating or breathing, hair loss, agitation, gastrointestinal disturbances, abdominal pain, hypotension, or pulmonary edema occur during use, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a specialist. Overdosage may lead to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema, so caution is advised. Additionally, when taken with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, it may increase the risk of hyperkalemia. If the medication is misused or symptoms do not improve after over a month of use, consult a specialist. It is crucial to follow the established usage and dosage guidelines, and it is recommended to avoid consuming tea with tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before or after taking this medication. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight in a tightly closed container. It is important not to transfer it to other containers to maintain its quality.
