Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist before use by individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks of alcohol daily, as it can cause gastric bleeding. Additionally, this medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular thrombotic events such as myocardial infarction or stroke, so those with a history of cardiovascular disease or risk factors should exercise particular caution. It is important to use the minimum effective dose for the shortest period possible and to consult medical personnel immediately if cardiovascular symptoms occur. This medication can cause serious side effects such as ulcers, bleeding, or perforations in the gastrointestinal tract; therefore, caution should be taken by those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases or the elderly. If symptoms such as epigastric pain, dyspepsia, black stools, or vomiting of blood occur, it should be reported to medical personnel immediately. This medication is not to be administered to those with specific allergic reactions, severe asthma, cardiovascular, liver, or kidney diseases, active gastric ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease, pregnant or nursing women, or individuals with lactose intolerance. Those with compromised liver or kidney function, hypertension, heart failure, asthma patients, the elderly, and diabetes patients should use this medication with increased caution, and regular check-ups should be carried out to monitor for abnormalities. During use, side effects such as headaches, dyspepsia, diarrhea, rashes, swelling, hypertension, and dizziness may occur, and in severe cases, immediate cessation of use and consultation with medical personnel is necessary. This medication is metabolized in the liver, so if taken with specific medications, blood concentration may change, necessitating dosage adjustment. Pregnant women or those planning to become pregnant should avoid taking it, and breastfeeding women should consult professionals before taking it. The safety of this medication in children and adolescents has not been established, so it is better not to use it. The elderly may have decreased kidney, liver, and heart functions, so increased caution is needed when taking it, and it is advisable to start with the minimum dose if the individual weighs less. Those taking this medication for an extended period should undergo regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests to check for abnormalities. In case of overdose, symptoms such as lethargy, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain may arise, and immediate medical assistance is required. This medication must be kept out of the reach of children, and care should be taken not to transfer it to other containers, as this may cause accidents.
