Sleepil Oral Disintegrating Film (Doxylamine Succinate)

Adult dose

As doxylamine succinate, take 25mg (1 film) once daily by placing it on the tongue without water. It should be taken 30 minutes before sleep.

This medication should not be taken by individuals with respiratory disorders such as emphysema, chronic bronchitis, or asthma. Patients with glaucoma or benign prostatic hyperplasia should also avoid this medication. Additionally, it is advisable for nursing women and children under the age of 15 to refrain from using this medication. While taking this medication, it is important not to use it concurrently with imipramine-based antidepressants or anti-Parkinson drugs. Doing so may worsen side effects such as difficulty urinating or constipation. Caution should also be exercised when taking this medication with other sedatives, cold medications, analgesics, cough suppressants, or antihistamines, as excessive drowsiness or sedative effects may occur. It is important not to take this medication with other medications or for more than 2 weeks without consulting a physician or pharmacist. Since excessive drowsiness may occur, one should avoid dangerous machinery operations such as high-altitude work or driving. Do not take this medication while drinking alcohol or after consumption. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult with a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. This medication may cause some side effects due to its anticholinergic properties. It is recommended to take it mainly before sleep since drowsiness may occur after ingestion. If excessive daytime drowsiness appears, it is advisable to discontinue use. Finally, this medication should be stored out of reach of children, and it should be kept in its original container with the lid tightly closed to maintain its quality and prevent misuse.
