How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered once daily, regardless of meals. The recommended initial dosage is 2/10mg once daily. Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, patients with allergies to any of the components of this medication or those with severe liver problems, pregnant or nursing women, and children should not take this medication. Additionally, patients with slightly impaired liver function, those who consume alcohol excessively, patients with renal abnormalities, individuals with muscle diseases, and elderly patients should use this medication cautiously. Various side effects such as myalgia, fatigue, dyspepsia, headache, skin rashes can occur, so patients should consult a doctor immediately if any abnormal symptoms arise. Regular liver function tests should be conducted, and if liver enzyme levels rise, discontinuation of the medication may be necessary. If any abnormal symptoms in muscles (pain, weakness, etc.) occur, treatment should be stopped immediately, and the doctor should be informed. Caution is required as there is a risk of serious muscle damage called rhabdomyolysis. This medication may interact with other drugs, so especially when taking together with cyclosporine, fibrates, niacin, antibiotics, etc., it should be used under professional guidance. Pregnant women or those who could become pregnant should not take this medication, and nursing women should also avoid its use. The safety and efficacy for children have not been confirmed, so it is not used in this age group. Elderly patients are at higher risk for side effects due to diminished bodily functions, so caution is necessary. In cases of overdose, there is no specific antidote, and treatment should be symptom-oriented, managing liver function and muscle enzyme testing.
