Additionally, it is used to improve symptoms of vitamin D deficiency in adults to maintain skeletal health. Therefore, it is highly effective in preventing and treating health problems caused by vitamin D deficiency.

How it is given

Adult administration

Adults receive 200,000 IU of cholecalciferol by intramuscular injection. Annual dosage must not exceed 600,000 IU of cholecalciferol.

Child administration

Adolescents receive 200,000 IU of cholecalciferol by intramuscular injection.

Precautions

This medication is a supplement for vitamin D, and when used with foods fortified with vitamin D or other vitamin D preparations, it is essential to check the total vitamin D intake. Regular monitoring of calcium levels in blood and urine should be performed to ensure they do not exceed the normal range, and if calcium levels are too high, the medication should be discontinued.
