PhiloGinax Vaginal Soft Capsule (Neomycin Sulfate, Nystatin, Polymyxin B Sulfate)

Adult dosage

Adults: Use 1 capsule in the evening for 12 days.

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to specific ingredients or have previously exhibited hypersensitivity reactions. It is not recommended for patients using contraceptive devices such as condoms or vaginal diaphragms. Patients allergic to soybean oil, soy, or peanuts should also avoid using this medication. Patients using spermicides (a type of contraceptive) or with lipid metabolism issues should use this medication with caution. This medication may result in skin reactions such as contact dermatitis, and such side effects may occur more frequently with prolonged use. If mucosal irritation or, rarely, severe allergic reactions occur, use should be discontinued immediately. This medication contains soybean oil, which may cause hypersensitivity reactions in sensitive individuals. It is advisable to use this medication for the shortest duration possible, as it may affect kidney and auditory function. It is safe not to administer this medication to patients with poor kidney function or systemic toxic symptoms. Patients who have had hypersensitivity reactions from antibiotics or similar medications should be especially cautious when using this medication. When using this medication, it is important to check the susceptibility of bacteria to avoid the development of resistant strains and to administer it for the minimum necessary duration. Patients at risk of lipid overload should periodically monitor their blood lipid levels and adjust the dosage of this medication accordingly. This medication may weaken latex products such as condoms or vaginal diaphragms, so caution is advised when used together. It may reduce the contraceptive effectiveness of spermicides, so it should be kept in mind that contraceptive effectiveness may be decreased when used together with this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the benefits and risks of using this medication. Breastfeeding mothers should avoid use due to insufficient information on whether this medication is transferred into breast milk. This medication is to be used only in the vagina and should never be taken orally. It is advisable to continue using it even during menstruation without interruption.
