Precautions

This medication may put a strain on the liver; therefore, individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks per day should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. It contains acetaminophen, which may rarely cause serious skin reactions, and if any rash or other allergic symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately. Caution should be taken to not exceed the maximum daily dose of acetaminophen, which is 4,000 mg, and it should not be taken with other medications containing acetaminophen. The inclusion of pseudoephedrine means that if symptoms such as fever, red spots, or pus-filled blisters occur on the skin, the medication should be stopped immediately and a specialist should be consulted. Individuals with hypersensitivity to this medication or a history of asthma, infants under 3 months old, individuals taking certain antidepressants, or those with severe hypertension or kidney disease should not take this medication. During use, medications containing cough suppressants, expectorants, other cold medicines, antipyretics, sedatives, and antihistamines should not be taken together. Infants infected with chickenpox or influenza, and children under the age of 15 should consult a specialist before taking this medication, as well as those with allergies or conditions affecting the liver, kidneys, heart, or thyroid. If any unusual symptoms such as rash, vomiting, urinary issues, dizziness, tremors, or insomnia occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. In particular, immediate professional treatment is required if symptoms such as hives, severe skin rash, difficulty breathing, jaundice, severe cough, or shortness of breath occur. This medication should not be administered to children under 2 years of age unless absolutely necessary and only under a physician's care. Strict adherence to dosage and duration is essential, and long-term use should be avoided. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during use, and caution is advised as it may cause drowsiness, thus driving or operating machinery should be avoided. Additionally, when this medication is taken with certain antibiotics, serious side effects such as metabolic acidosis may occur, thus caution is required during concurrent use. Store in a sealed container out of the reach of children, in a cool and dry place, and should not be transferred to another container.
