How to take

Adult dose

As Ginkgo leaf extract, take 240 mg once daily. Can be taken regardless of meals.

Precautions

This medication contains Ginkgo leaf extract, and those who are allergic to this ingredient or any other ingredients should not take it. Safety in children and adolescents has not been sufficiently verified, so it should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years old. Pregnant women should not take this medication. As this medication contains lactose, those with genetic issues like lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. It is important not to take blood-thinning medications such as warfarin or aspirin, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs together with this medication as it may influence blood coagulation. This medication can affect the enzyme system responsible for the metabolism of various drugs in the liver, so caution should be taken if taken with drugs like calcium channel blockers or theophylline as it can alter the effect of the drugs. Patients who are at risk of bleeding or are taking medications that increase bleeding risk should consult a doctor or pharmacist before starting this medication. Nursing mothers should consult professionals, as it is uncertain if this medication is transmitted through breast milk. Patients with epilepsy should be cautious as taking this medication may worsen seizures. If surgery is upcoming, cessation of this medication at least 36 hours prior is recommended to reduce bleeding risk. This medication should be taken for at least 8 weeks depending on symptoms, and if symptoms do not improve or worsen after 3 months, consult a doctor. If symptoms such as nausea, headache, insomnia, anxiety, confusion, skin rash, or itching appear during use, discontinue immediately and consult medical personnel. Care should be taken as prolonged use may lead to bleeding. Adverse reactions such as dizziness or itching have been reported; careful observation is recommended if symptoms manifest. Severe allergic reactions like anaphylaxis have been rarely reported; if sudden difficulty breathing or swelling occurs, emergency measures should be taken immediately. This medication is not a treatment for hypertension, so patients with hypertension should receive separate treatment and should not expect blood pressure control from this medication alone. Store in a place out of reach of children, keep it in its original container, and avoid transferring it to other containers as this may lead to misuse or deterioration of quality.
