Precautions

This medication can put a strain on the liver, so those who regularly drink more than three glasses of alcohol per day should consult a doctor or pharmacist. If any serious skin rashes, blisters, or itching symptoms occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and a doctor should be consulted. As it contains acetaminophen, care should be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dosage of 4,000 mg, and it should not be taken with other medications containing acetaminophen. As it contains pseudoephedrine, if symptoms such as fever, skin rash, or small pustules occur, stop taking this medication and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Those with a history of allergic reactions to this medication or similar medications that have caused asthma should not take it. Infants under three months old, individuals with severe hypertension, and patients with serious kidney diseases should not take this medication. During use, do not take cough medications, other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines that also contain these ingredients. Children suspected of having chickenpox or flu, those with specific allergic constitutions, and individuals with liver, kidney, or heart diseases should consult a specialist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rashes, vomiting, swelling, dizziness, or insomnia occur after taking the medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. If severe allergic reactions, skin disorders, severe asthma, or liver dysfunction symptoms occur, consult a physician immediately. This medication should not be given to children under two years old unless deemed absolutely necessary by a physician. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and directions and to avoid prolonged use; avoid alcohol while taking this medication. Drowsiness may occur; therefore, driving or operating machinery should be avoided. Care is needed when taking with specific antidepressants or alcohol as this may slow the breakdown of acetaminophen. Rarely, metabolic acidosis may occur when taking this medication with specific antibiotics; therefore, if symptoms are suspected, treatment should be discontinued. Keep this medication out of reach of children, protect it from direct sunlight, and store it in a cool, dry place in a tightly sealed container. Transferring the medication to another container may lead to misuse and degradation in quality, so it should be stored in its original container.
