View approved original text

This medicine is used as an adjunct to dietary therapy to reduce elevated triglyceride levels in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia. It is effective not only as a monotherapy for hypertriglyceridemia (type IV) but also in combination with statin medications for mixed types of hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia (type IIb). It is particularly prescribed as a combination therapy for patients with uncontrolled triglyceride levels. This medication helps improve blood lipid levels and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Depending on the patient's condition, it can be used alone or in combination therapy to effectively manage blood triglyceride levels. Therefore, it plays an important role in the treatment of hyperlipidemia.
