This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which breaks down in the body to form phenylalanine. Therefore, it should not be used by patients with phenylketonuria, a genetic condition that requires limitation of phenylalanine intake. The acceptable daily intake of aspartame should not exceed 40 mg per kg of body weight, as recommended by WHO, and it is advisable to use the smallest possible dose. This medication should not be administered to patients with hypercalcemia (high calcium levels in the blood), sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), and patients with kidney disease. Additionally, individuals with an allergic reaction to this medication or its components, infants under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, and those with severe renal failure should also refrain from taking it. While taking this medication, it should not be combined with specific drugs such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, antacids, and levodopa. Infants under the age of 1, patients currently receiving treatment from a physician, children who are exposed to a lot of sunlight and have a normal diet, patients with cardiac or circulatory dysfunction, those with renal impairment, patients with hypoproteinemia, and patients taking cardiac glycosides should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. If any abnormal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, skin rash, or irregular heartbeat occur while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a professional. Additionally, prolonged high-dose intake of pyridoxine can lead to nerve disorders, so caution is needed. Excessive consumption may lead to gastrointestinal disturbances, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema, and prolonged use increases the risk of hypercalcemia and stone disease. Special caution is required when taken in combination with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, as it may increase blood potassium levels. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and administration, and parental supervision is required when given to children. It is advisable to consult a physician or pharmacist before or during use. This medication can change the color of urine to yellow, affecting clinical test results. Tannic teas such as green tea or black tea should be avoided before and after taking this medication.
