How to take

Adult dose

For Trimebutine Maleate, take 100-200 mg orally three times a day before meals. Adjust according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This drug contains lactose, so individuals with genetic diseases who cannot properly digest lactose should not take it. This includes patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, and glucose-galactose malabsorption. Additionally, this drug contains the dye Yellow 4, so individuals with allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to this ingredient should exercise caution when using the medication. Rarely, this drug may cause symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, abdominal sounds, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, dry mouth, or a feeling of numbness in the mouth. Cardiac-related symptoms such as palpitations, fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headaches may also occur rarely. Liver function test values may temporarily increase, and if hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes occur, the medication should be stopped immediately. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefits outweigh the risks. Moreover, nursing mothers should avoid taking this medication due to uncertain safety, and if necessary, discontinuation of breastfeeding is recommended.
