Rapid relief of migraine (including aura symptoms, related to menstrual cycle)
This medication helps to rapidly relieve migraines with or without aura. It is particularly effective for migraines experienced by women related to their menstrual cycle. Therefore, it is used to quickly improve overall migraine symptoms.
Administer 50 mg of sumatriptan orally as a single dose. In a few patients, an oral dose of 100 mg may be necessary. If symptoms return after the initial dose, a repeat dose may be administered, but the interval between doses must be at least 2 hours, and it must not exceed a maximum of 300 mg in 24 hours. This medication should be taken as a single agent for the treatment of migraines and should not be used in combination with other migraine treatments. If there is no response to a single dose of this medication, it is permissible to administer aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or acetaminophen. This medication should be swallowed whole with water.
The safety and efficacy of this medication in children and adolescents under 18 years have not been established.
This medication should not be administered to certain patients. For example, it should not be used in patients who are allergic to this medication or who have severe cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, or significantly impaired liver or kidney function. Additionally, it should not be used by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or by children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Patients with hereditary lactose intolerance should also not take this medication. When using this medication, extra caution is required in patients with a risk of cardiovascular disease or uncontrolled hypertension, those with a history of epilepsy, patients with weak liver or kidney function, and elderly patients. This medication is used for the treatment of migraines and should not be exceeded the prescribed dosage. Drowsiness may occur after administration, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. If chest pain or pressure occurs after taking the medication, use should be discontinued immediately and seek medical evaluation. Also, caution should be exercised with concomitant intake of this medication with certain other medications as side effects may be exacerbated. This medication can cause a variety of side effects, with common symptoms including body pain, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, diarrhea, and palpitations. Rarely, serious heart problems or allergic reactions may occur, so if unusual symptoms arise, you should consult a healthcare professional immediately. Do not use this medication during pregnancy, and if breastfeeding, it is advisable to avoid breastfeeding for 12 hours after administration. In case of overdose, patients should be observed for at least 10 hours, and appropriate treatment should be provided as necessary. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in a cool place below 30 degrees Celsius, and it is recommended not to transfer it to another container.
Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, difficulty in breathing or shortness of breath, asthma attack, coughing with fever and respiratory distress, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), severe lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion of consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, urine abnormalities.

This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture, so it should be stored in a sealed container. Additionally, the medication should be kept at room temperature, which is not too hot or cold, ideally between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius. This way of storage helps maintain the effectiveness of the medication for a longer period.
