This medication is used for the treatment of wounds, burns, lacerations (e.g., nipple fissures during breastfeeding), pressure ulcers, acute and chronic dermatitis, eczema, skin ulcers, diaper rash, and sunburn (solar dermatitis).

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

After cleaning the wound, apply to the affected area once daily or as needed. For nipple fissures during breastfeeding, apply immediately after each feeding. For diaper rash, apply after changing the diaper.

Precautions

This product should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this product or any of its ingredients. Additionally, individuals with infected or exudative skin conditions should not use this product. Care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes when using this product. If a breastfeeding mother applies this product to cracked nipples, it should be thoroughly cleaned before breastfeeding. This product is generally known to have rare side effects; however, allergic reactions such as itching, rash, and hives may occur, and if these symptoms appear, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted immediately. This product is not known to affect the ability to operate machinery or drive. Furthermore, no interactions with other medications have been reported. This product contains benzoic acid, which may cause slight irritation to the skin, eyes, or mucous membranes, so caution is necessary. This product should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children and it is recommended to keep it sealed in its original container. Transferring to another container may result in improper use or reduced quality.
