Precautions

This medication may pose a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages daily; it is essential to consult a physician or pharmacist. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, including this medication, may present cardiovascular risks, increasing the likelihood of serious thrombotic events such as myocardial infarction and stroke, especially for individuals with or at risk for cardiovascular disease. This medication may provoke gastrointestinal adverse reactions, leading to severe complications such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations. Elderly patients or those on long-term therapy require additional caution. Those with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, severe blood disorders, liver dysfunction, kidney impairment, heart failure, and high blood pressure should avoid this medication. Individuals with hypersensitivity to this medication, a history of asthma, or previous allergic reactions to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should refrain from taking it. In the late stages of pregnancy, this medication should not be used due to the risk of premature closure of the fetal ductus arteriosus. Patients should not exceed the recommended dosage and avoid taking it concurrently with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Breastfeeding mothers should discontinue breastfeeding or stop taking this medication as it can pass into breast milk and cause severe adverse reactions in infants. Individuals with blood disorders, bleeding tendencies, liver or kidney disease, heart conditions, high blood pressure, or a history of hypersensitivity must consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. Particularly, individuals taking low-dose aspirin for the prevention of myocardial infarction or stroke should be cautious as this medication may decrease the effect of aspirin and increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication has potential interactions with several drugs; consult a physician when taken alongside ACE inhibitors, lithium, diuretics, methotrexate, anticoagulants, and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. If any unusual symptoms such as severe allergic reactions, blood abnormalities, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe skin rashes, liver dysfunction, breathing difficulties, or visual disturbances occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. This medication should be taken for the shortest duration and at the minimum effective dose, with regular monitoring required for long-term use. Patients with hypertension or heart failure should closely monitor their blood pressure and cardiac status while taking this medication, and those with reduced kidney function should also exercise caution. In case of overdose, seek medical attention promptly even if symptoms are absent. Store this medication out of reach of children, and keep it in its original container to prevent misuse or degradation of quality.
