Precautions

This medication may cause severe allergic reactions within 3 months of administration, so if symptoms such as skin rash, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face or neck occur, you must stop taking it immediately and consult a medical professional. This medication may induce a condition known as pancreatitis, which is inflammation of the pancreas, so if you experience sudden abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or fever, you should notify your doctor immediately. Patients with a history of allergies to the main ingredient or additives of this medication, type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or patients undergoing dialysis should not use it. Patients with impaired renal function, decreased fluid volume, elderly patients, or those taking diuretics should use this medication cautiously and monitor renal function and fluid status carefully before and after treatment. This medication may increase the risk of genital and urinary tract infections, so appropriate treatment should be sought if symptoms (itching, pain, increased discharge, etc.) occur. Hypoglycemic symptoms may occur, so especially when taking it alongside blood glucose-lowering agents such as insulin or sulfonylureas, blood glucose levels should be checked frequently, and immediate action should be taken if symptoms arise. There may be weight loss, so it is advisable to monitor weight changes periodically. The use of this medication during pregnancy is not recommended, and if pregnancy is confirmed, you should stop taking it immediately. It is advisable for breastfeeding women not to take this medication, and consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary if it must be taken. It is recommended not to use in children (under 18 years), as safety and efficacy have not been adequately established. In the case of overdose, no specific antidote is available, so appropriate treatment based on symptoms is important. When taking this medication, care should be taken regarding the risk of hypoglycemia when driving or operating machinery.
