Adult dose
The recommended dose of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). This medication is administered when blood pressure is not controlled solely with pimasartan monotherapy, based on the following dosages. • 30/2.5 mg: for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with pimasartan 30 mg monotherapy. • 60/2.5 mg: for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with pimasartan 60 mg monotherapy. • 60/5 mg: for patients whose blood pressure is inadequately controlled with pimasartan 60 mg monotherapy or this 60/2.5 mg. For patients taking both pimasartan and amlodipine (amlodipine) in combination, it may be switched to this medication (a combination with the same individual active ingredient content) for convenience. Elderly patients (up to 70 years of age) do not require initial dose adjustments. Patients with renal impairment do not require dose adjustments except for patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance < 30 mL/min) who should be started on this medication at 30 mg of pimasartan.
Child dose
The safety and efficacy in pediatric and adolescent patients under 18 years of age have not been established.

This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled with monotherapy using pimasartan potassium. That is, it can be added to existing treatment to effectively manage blood pressure. This helps reduce the risk of complications due to hypertension and improves health.

How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm or death to the fetus and newborn, particularly during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Individuals with allergies to the main ingredient of this medication, those with certain genetic lactase deficiency disorders, patients undergoing renal dialysis, those with severe liver impairment, patients with cholestasis, specific diabetes patients, those with severe aortic stenosis, and patients in a state of shock should not take this medication. Patients with low blood volume or sodium, impaired renal function, renal artery hypertension, aortic and mitral stenosis, primary hyperaldosteronism, severe hypotension, elderly patients, and those allergic to yellow dye should take this medication with caution. Side effects such as dizziness, headache, facial edema, urination disorders, insomnia, and flushing may occur during treatment, and in severe cases, renal function deterioration or hypotension may develop, requiring caution. Blood pressure may drop too low or electrolyte imbalance may occur, so blood pressure and electrolyte status should be frequently checked, especially when taking diuretics together. This medication may interact with other antihypertensives, potassium-sparing diuretics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, etc., so it is essential to inform your physician of any other medications being taken. During pregnancy, this medication may pose risks to the fetus, so it should be avoided if possible, and during breastfeeding, this medication may pass into breast milk, requiring cessation of breastfeeding or discontinuation of the medication. Its safety and efficacy in patients under 18 years of age have not been established, so it is advisable not to use it in this population. Elderly patients may also be sensitive to medications, thus caution is required. Patients with moderate to severe liver impairment should not take this medication. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, palpitations, reflex tachycardia may occur, and immediate medical assistance is required for appropriate treatment. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers.

Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash accompanied by high fever, blisters, peeling skin, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme drowsiness, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, disturbances of consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, etc.
