In patients with essential hypertension where blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of pimasartan potassium, this medication helps to control blood pressure more effectively. This aids in maintaining stable blood pressure and reducing the risk of complications caused by hypertension. Therefore, it plays an important role in hypertension management.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning) when possible.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy for pediatric and adolescent patients under 18 years of age have not been established.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It should not be used by patients with known allergies to any of its components, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, patients undergoing kidney dialysis, those with severe liver dysfunction, bile duct obstruction, specific genetic metabolic disorders, severe aortic stenosis, or in a shock state.
