Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension
Pimasartan potassium is primarily used in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy. This medication helps lower blood pressure by dilating blood vessels. It is used as an additional treatment option for patients with difficult-to-control blood pressure, thereby facilitating more effective management of blood pressure. This contributes to reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Overall, pimasartan potassium is used to improve blood pressure.
The recommended dosage for this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). 30/2.5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy using 30 mg of Pimasartan. 60/2.5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy using 60 mg of Pimasartan.
The safety and efficacy of this medication in patients under 18 years have not been established.
