Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension
This medication helps to control blood pressure more effectively in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Pimasartan Potassium monotherapy. It acts by dilating blood vessels to reduce blood pressure and can improve blood pressure control as combination therapy in cases where monotherapy is insufficient. Hence, Pimasartan Potassium is used in the management of blood pressure in essential hypertension.
The recommended dosage for adults is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). If blood pressure is not controlled with Pimasartan 30 mg or 60 mg monotherapy, doses of 30/2.5 mg or 60/2.5 mg may be administered respectively. The 60/5 mg dose may be used for patients requiring treatment with Pimasartan 60 mg monotherapy or 60/2.5 mg if blood pressure is not adequately controlled.
