This medication is used when blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Pimasartan alone in patients with essential hypertension. It effectively lowers blood pressure and helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage for this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., morning). If blood pressure control is inadequate, the following dosages may be administered: - 30/2.5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not controlled with Pimasartan 30 mg monotherapy. - 60/2.5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not controlled with Pimasartan 60 mg.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy in pediatric and adolescent patients under 18 years of age have not been established.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn, especially when taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Individuals with allergies to any of the components of this medication, certain liver or kidney conditions, biliary obstruction, severe aortic stenosis, etc., should not take this medication. Patients with reduced blood volume or decreased sodium levels, those with impaired kidney function, renal artery hypertension patients, and elderly individuals should use this medication with special caution. Side effects such as dizziness, headache, facial edema, urinary disturbances, insomnia, and flushing may occur, and in severe cases, symptoms such as worsening of kidney function or hypotension may appear, so if any unusual symptoms arise, consult a physician immediately. During treatment, hypotension and electrolyte imbalance may occur, especially when taking diuretics, so blood pressure should be closely monitored. This medication can increase serum potassium levels, so patients at risk of hyperkalemia should have regular blood tests. Interactions may occur when taken with other antihypertensive drugs or certain medications, so inform your healthcare provider about any other medications being taken. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this medication, and they should consult a doctor to find a safe alternative if necessary. The safety and efficacy in children and adolescents under 18 years of age have not been established, so its use is not recommended. In case of overdose, hypotension, heart palpitations, and in severe situations, shock may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. Store this medication out of reach of children and do not transfer it to another container as it helps maintain the quality. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur during use, so caution is advised when driving or operating hazardous machinery.
