Used in the treatment of essential hypertension when blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Pimasartan Potassium monotherapy.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is preferable to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). 30/2.5 mg: For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Pimasartan 30 mg monotherapy. 60/2.5 mg: For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Pimasartan 60 mg monotherapy.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy in children and adolescents under 18 years have not been established.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm or death to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Do not use if you have an allergy to the active ingredient or similar medications, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you are undergoing renal dialysis, if you have moderate to severe hepatic impairment, if you have biliary obstruction, if you are a diabetic patient taking certain antihypertensive drugs, if you have lactose intolerance, if you have severe aortic stenosis, or in shock. Patients with low blood volume or sodium, renal function impairment, renovascular hypertension, aortic or mitral stenosis, primary aldosteronism, severe hypotension, elderly patients, and those with allergies to certain dyes should use this medication with special caution. Side effects such as dizziness, headache, facial edema, urinary disturbance, insomnia, and flushing may occur. Rarely, serious adverse reactions have been reported; consult medical personnel immediately if any unusual symptoms arise. Hypotension, electrolyte imbalance, and hyperkalemia may occur; blood pressure and serum potassium levels should be monitored regularly. Special caution is needed for patients with impaired renal function. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive drugs, certain diuretics, potassium supplements, lithium, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; inform your healthcare provider of any other medications you are taking. It is advisable that pregnant or breastfeeding women avoid this medication, and consult a doctor if necessary. Safety for use in children under 18 years has not been established, so it is preferable not to use it. No dosage adjustment is necessary for elderly patients; however, they should use it with caution due to potential sensitivity. Do not administer to patients with severe hepatic impairment. In case of overdose, symptoms such as severe hypotension, palpitations, and bradycardia may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. Store this medication out of reach of children and avoid transferring it to other containers.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), severe allergic reactions, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral or ocular mucosa, severe skin reactions, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory distress with cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, liver problems (jaundice), sudden and severe symptoms.
