This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by Pimasartan monotherapy.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). It is recommended to adjust the dose with Pimasartan, but if blood pressure is not controlled, one can consider switching to this medication as follows: ㆍ 30/2.5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by Pimasartan 30 mg monotherapy.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under the age of 18 have not been established.

Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm or death to the fetus and newborn, especially during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients who have allergies to the ingredients of this medication, who are undergoing kidney dialysis, who have moderate to severe liver impairment, or who have biliary obstruction should not take this medication. Patients with low blood volume, low salt levels, compromised kidney function, renal artery hypertension, cardiac valve disease, primary aldosteronism, severe hypotension, and the elderly should take special care when using this medication. This medication may rarely cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, edema, urinary disorders, insomnia, and flushing, so if any of these symptoms occur, consult a healthcare professional. Symptoms of hypotension or electrolyte imbalance may occur, so particularly patients taking high doses of diuretics should closely monitor their blood pressure and condition when starting this medication or increasing the dosage. Patients with heart failure or poor kidney function should undergo regular blood tests due to the risk of elevated serum potassium levels. This medication may interact with other antihypertensives, certain diuretics, lithium, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, so other medications being taken should be disclosed. It is advisable for pregnant and breastfeeding women not to take this medication and to consult with healthcare professionals if necessary. Safety in children and adolescents under 18 years has not been established, so use is not recommended. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension or abnormal heart rhythms may occur, and immediate medical treatment should be sought. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and it is advised not to transfer it to other containers for safety.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, painful mucous membranes in the mouth/eyes, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, asthma attacks, respiratory symptoms accompanying cough and fever, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headaches, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, vision abnormalities, paralysis, urination.
