This medication is used to effectively manage blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled with Pimasartan Potassium monotherapy.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advisable to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). 30/2.5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by Pimasartan 30 mg monotherapy. 60/2.5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by Pimasartan 60 mg monotherapy.

Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn when taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It should not be used in patients with allergies to this drug's main ingredients or similar substances, in pregnant or nursing women, in patients undergoing kidney dialysis, patients with severe liver disease, bile duct obstruction, certain kidney diseases, patients with lactose intolerance, patients with severe aortic stenosis, or in shock. Patients with low blood volume or salt, impaired kidney function, renal artery hypertension, aortic or mitral stenosis, primary aldosteronism, severe hypotension, the elderly, and those allergic to certain pigment components should use this medication with special caution. While taking this medication, side effects such as dizziness, headache, facial swelling, urination disorders, insomnia, and flushing may occur, and serious adverse reactions may occur infrequently; consult a doctor immediately if symptoms arise. Since hypotension may occur, special care should be taken when monitoring during treatment, especially in patients who are on diuretics or have conditions causing decreased blood volume, such as dietary salt restrictions, diarrhea, or vomiting. Due to the risk of increased serum potassium levels, patients with heart failure or impaired kidney function should have regular blood tests. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive drugs or specific medications, so inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medications being taken. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should consult a doctor before taking this medication, and nursing mothers should carefully consider whether to continue breastfeeding or taking the medication. Safety and efficacy in children and adolescents have not been established, and use is not recommended for those under 18 years of age. Elderly patients may react more sensitively to this medication, so special caution is necessary during use. Patients with moderate to severe liver disease should not take this medication, and those with impaired liver function should use it cautiously. In case of overdose, hypotension, palpitations, and in severe cases shock may occur; immediate medical attention should be sought for proper treatment. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and transferring to other containers is not advisable as it may compromise the quality.
