Improvement in blood pressure control of essential hypertension
Used when additional treatment is needed for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled by monotherapy with pimasartan potassium.
The recommended dose for this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). - 30/2.5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with 30 mg of pimasartan. - 60/2.5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with 60 mg of pimasartan.
Safety and efficacy in pediatric and adolescent patients under 18 years have not been established.
This medication may cause serious injury or death to the fetus and newborn if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Individuals allergic to the active ingredient or similar compounds, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those undergoing kidney dialysis, those with severely impaired liver function, those with biliary obstruction, those with specific kidney diseases or diabetic nephropathy should not take this medication. Careful monitoring is necessary for individuals with low blood volume or reduced sodium levels, those with impaired kidney function, patients with renovascular hypertension, those with specific heart valve diseases, patients with severe hypotension, the elderly, and those allergic to any colorants in this medication. During the treatment, side effects such as dizziness, headache, edema, urinary disorders, insomnia, and facial flushing may occur; if symptoms are severe or persist, consult a healthcare professional. There may be instances of significant blood pressure drop, so especially when starting the medication or increasing the dose, blood pressure and condition should be closely monitored, and if hypotensive symptoms occur, one should lie down and rest and seek treatment if necessary. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive drugs, diuretics, potassium-sparing agents, etc., so if taking any other medications, it is essential to inform your healthcare provider. It is advisable to avoid this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as it may have serious effects on the fetus during pregnancy; always consult a healthcare professional before taking. It is recommended not to use this medication in children under 18 years due to the lack of established safety and efficacy. For elderly patients, there is typically no need for special dosage adjustments, but caution is advised as their body may react more sensitively. Patients with severe liver impairment should not take this medication, and in cases of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension and cardiac issues may arise, necessitating immediate medical attention. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers for safety.

This medication is sensitive to light and should be stored in a container that blocks light. Additionally, it is best stored at room temperature, avoiding temperatures that are too cold or too hot, ideally between 1°C and 30°C.
