Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension
Pimasartan potassium is used to control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. It is especially effective when blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy. By providing stable management of blood pressure, it can reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It helps in establishing an appropriate treatment plan tailored to the patient's condition. Therefore, it is used for the treatment of essential hypertension.
The recommended dosage for adults is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time daily (e.g., in the morning). While it is advised to adjust the dosage with pimasartan, if blood pressure is not controlled, switching to the following dosage can be considered. ㆍ 30/2.5 mg: Given to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on monotherapy with pimasartan 30 mg.
