Adult dose

The recommended dose for adults is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advisable to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). For elderly patients (aged 70 or younger), initial dose adjustment is not necessary. For patients with mild to moderate kidney impairment (creatinine clearance 30 to 80 mL/min), dose adjustment is not needed; however, for those with severe impairment (creatinine clearance < 30 mL/min), treatment should start with this medication at a dosage of 30 mg of Pimasartan.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy for pediatric and adolescent patients under 18 years of age have not been established.

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it must be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to this drug's active ingredients or similar medications, pregnant or nursing women, kidney dialysis patients, and those with severe liver dysfunction should not take this medication. Patients with depleted blood volume or decreased salt, those with impaired kidney function, and patients with certain heart valve diseases should use this drug cautiously and monitor their condition carefully while taking it. Side effects such as dizziness, headache, facial swelling, urinary problems, insomnia, and flushing may occur; if any unusual symptoms arise, consult a physician. Due to its effect of lowering blood pressure, symptoms of hypotension may appear, so extra caution is needed, especially when starting therapy or increasing the dosage. Patients with heart failure or poor liver function may be more affected by this drug, so consultation with the attending physician is recommended. Be cautious when driving or operating machinery, as dizziness or drowsiness may occur. This drug may interact with other blood pressure medications, certain diuretics, and potassium supplements, so it is essential to inform your physician of any other medications being taken. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not take this medication, and it is also recommended that nursing mothers avoid its use. Safety and efficacy have not been established for use in children or adolescents under 18 years old, so it is best not to use it. In case of overdose, serious hypotension or heart-related issues may occur, and immediate medical attention is required. Store this medication out of reach of children and do not transfer it to other containers for safety.
