This medication is used to alleviate temporary insomnia caused by pain, especially acute pain that worsens at night.

How to take

Adult dose

For difficulty sleeping due to pain, take 1-2 capsules once a day before bedtime. Ensure not to exceed 1,200mg of ibuprofen and 75mg of diphenhydramine within 24 hours, including this medication. The dosing interval should be more than 4 hours after taking ibuprofen and/or diphenhydramine. If the cause of symptoms is undetermined, do not take continuously for more than 5 days.

Precautions

This medication may cause gastric bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages a day, so consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is mandatory. Individuals with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors, as well as those taking this medication for a long period, have a higher risk of cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastric bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, especially in the elderly or those taking it long-term. Individuals with allergies to the ingredients of this medication or a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, bleeding, asthma, severe liver and kidney dysfunction, heart failure, hypertension, glaucoma, epilepsy, and specific diseases should not take it. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised not to take this medication, and women who may become pregnant should also exercise caution. While taking this medication, avoid using it in combination with drugs such as ACE inhibitors, lithium, certain diuretics, methotrexate, anticoagulants, and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Additionally, do not take it with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, do not exceed the recommended dose, and avoid alcohol. Since drowsiness or dizziness may occur during use, caution is required when driving or operating machinery. Before taking this medication, consult a doctor or pharmacist if you have a history of blood abnormalities, liver and kidney dysfunction, heart disease, hypertension, or hypersensitivity. If severe allergic reactions, gastric bleeding, skin rashes, liver dysfunction, breathing difficulties, visual disturbances, or kidney dysfunction occur during use, discontinue and consult healthcare professionals immediately. Do not take it long-term, administer it to children under parental supervision, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. It is also important to keep it out of reach of children.

Interactions

Drug interactions

This medication should not be taken with ACE inhibitors, lithium, furosemide and thiazide diuretics, methotrexate, coumarin anticoagulants (such as warfarin), selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, other hypnotics, sedatives, MAO inhibitors (including antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and anti-Parkinson's drugs), cold medications, antipyretic analgesics (such as aspirin, acetaminophen, naproxen), cough suppressants, expectorants, and oral medications containing antihistamines.

Avoid alcohol while taking this medication.
